Getafe Club de Fútbol is an entity that has forged its identity in adversity and resilience, becoming a mainstay of La Liga since its first promotion in 2004. Based in the industrial city of Getafe, south of Madrid, the club has channeled the hard-working spirit of its community into an unmistakable style of football. The 'Azulones' are recognized throughout Spain for their pragmatic and highly competitive approach, based on a defensive solidity that few teams can match and an ability to maximize their resources.
This philosophy has led them to historic moments, such as two consecutive Copa del Rey finals in 2007 and 2008, and a memorable campaign in the European club competition during the 2007-2008 season, where they came close to eliminating one of the giants of German football. The Coliseum Alfonso Pérez is not just a stadium; it is the heart of the 'Azulona' passion, a place where the fans and the team merge to create an intimidating atmosphere.
