Divorced. Beheaded. Live. The six wives of Henry VIII take the mic to tell their stories in a spectacular pop concert. Don't miss this global phenomenon!
Six - The Musical is a revolutionary theatre production that has redefined the genre. Conceived by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss while they were students at Cambridge University, the show transforms the historical figures of Henry VIII's six wives into fierce pop queens. The premise is simple yet brilliant: the six women form a girl group and hold a concert to tell their stories and determine who had it the worst.
Each queen has her own distinct musical style, inspired by contemporary artists. Catherine of Aragon channels Beyoncé and Shakira, Anne Boleyn has the energy of Lily Allen, Jane Seymour delivers an Adele-style ballad, Anna of Cleves radiates Rihanna's confidence, Katherine Howard is inspired by Ariana Grande, and Catherine Parr showcases the strength of Alicia Keys. This clever blend of history and pop culture creates a complete show that is both educational and wildly entertaining.
The spectacular production, with its all-female on-stage band, the 'Ladies in Waiting,' and dazzling costume and lighting design, creates an electrifying concert atmosphere. It's an unmissable event that celebrates female resilience and solidarity, rewriting history to give these women their voices back.
