London, the capital of England and the United Kingdom, is a 21st century city with a history that dates back to Roman times. At its center stands the imposing Palace of Parliament, the tower of the iconic "Big Ben" clock and Westminster Abbey, site of the British monarchical coronations. Across the River Thames, the London Eye observation deck offers panoramic views of the South Bank cultural complex and the entire city. One of the world’s most visited cities, England’s buzzing capital is well worth the visit and has so much to offer, from magnificent history and culture to cutting-edge fashion and food.
